A Mixture of All Things Good!

A Mixture of All Things Good!
We have been rather busy here at my little Devon yard lately with a variety of different horses to compete and pre-train, I do most of my work single handily so to see everyone looking and going so well is a very rewarding achievement, thank you good old ReadyMash Extra - my lifeline! My old pro-Valentine Jak has been busy contesting the SEIB Racehorse 2 Riding Horse of the Year qualifiers with some pleasing results yet still trying to grasp the golden ticket for his last season in this class before retirement finally looms. No other ex-racehorse on record has competed in the final as many times as him and it’s a consistent record I am extremely proud of, we have to face the big names in showing to qualify and occasionally we are up there with them, what a record, what a horse! As well as his 2018 placing's he pulled out all the stops to take the ROR Flat class and Championship title at the Royal Bath and West Show in May and showed everyone why Valentine Jak is who he is!! A legend of a horse who loves his mash!!! My new novice ROR The Noble Prankster aka Dino wowed his stuff at our local Racehorse ROR South West Camp in June. Jake was meant to attend however a bruised sole meant he was going to be out of action sadly for a while so we decided to try Dino out instead. To my sheer delight, he coped with everything superbly and very much enjoyed the pole work and jumping! He is an impressive stamp of a thoroughbred who I hope will eventually enjoy the success of Jak in the show ring in time; I may even dust off my jumping saddle!!! Little Floyd is off to another show next week with his little Jockey Ellie Hollis. I have been advised to ride him myself in part-bred classes also which after looking at a photo of myself on him may be possible.. I’m rather small so I may need to invest in some jodhpur boots soon!! Pengos Boy has finally gone off into training and I shall look forward to seeing his results on the track very soon. He too enjoyed a diet of ReadyMash Extra which gave him enough covering to carry in a training schedule as well as really boosting his topline and muscles which was my aim during his stay with me; he left a happy healthy boy! Finally I have a little filly by Dick Turpin who I had in for breaking last year. She is now back with me to undertake some work before she too goes into training in a fortnight’s time. She came to me quite dull in the coat however she has been put on Solution Mash which she loves and you can literally see your face in her coat!!! No filter needed!!!! Once again I thank Rowen Barbary for their continued support for my little yard and giving us the chance to be able to be part of the team!! We are very proud xxx
