I am an 18-year-old event rider based on the Gower Peninsula in South Wales, currently studying A levels in Sport and Biology. I have been riding since the age of five and am competing at Intermediate and CCI3* level with my 17.2hh, 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood, Kansas, known at home as Ted.

In 2025, I co-captained the Wales and West Midlands Youth Team at the International Youth Championships held at Bishop Burton College, where I competed in the CCI-L J2*, finishing 6th.

I am also a member of the Front Runners Performance Pathway which plays an important role in supporting my ongoing development and progression within the sport of eventing.

1. Where are you based?

I live on the Gower Peninsula on a family farm where it is just me and my younger sister Efa who ride, currently having 6 horses between us.

2. When did your riding journey begin?

I began riding at the age of 5, following in the footsteps of my older sister who competed to novice level.

3. What discipline(s) do you compete in?

I am currently eventing at intermediate and CCI3* level.

4. What has been your proudest achievement so far?

In 2025, I co-captained the Wales and West Midlands Youth Team at the International Youth Championships held at Bishop Burton College, where I competed in the CCI-L J2*, finishing 6th, as well as producing Ted solely on my own from BE90 to CCI3*.

5. Tell us about your top horse!

Ted - his unique personality and willingness to always try his best, we have got to where we are by learning together.

6. What does a typical day look like for you?

Busy.  In no particular order - horses, stables, ride, school - Repeat.

7. What are your goals for the future?

Simple - Badminton 5*

8. Do you have any top riding tips or advice?

Never give up on your dreams because the only person who can make them come true, is yourself.

9. Do you have any pre-competition rituals or lucky habits?

I get nervous and find it difficult to eat before competing so I will always have a chocolate yfood, as well as always wearing my lucky voltaire design socks.

Savoury

11. What’s your favourite Rowen Barbary product and why?

The ultra mint oil as it has given Ted the most beautiful shiny coat whilst being delicious.
