Fosterhouses Stud
I just thought I would drop you a few lines about what Fosterhouses Stud and our beautiful Welsh Mountain ponies have been up to since we last spoke, and what is 'in the pipeline' for this year, and all of course, bred and raised on Rowan Barbary Horse Feeds with great success! 2014 was a very successful year for our ponies, both at home and overseas, we now have our ponies in the USA, Holland, Sweden, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Italy and France to name but a few...in fact, a foal has just been born in France out of Fosterhouses Serendipity! Fosterhouses Ap Pip went out and got numerous Championships in the Lead Rein with his lovely young rider/owner, Harriet Oldershaw and this year they have just started going off Lead so will be doing First ridden classes, we are very excited to watch their progress.

Ap Pip also went out inhand in a HUGE gelding class at the Royal Welsh and gained a fabulous 5th place!!  Additionally, we are very proud to say that Ap Pip was used in a Demonstration by the Welsh Pony and Cob Society to show just what people should be looking for in a Welsh Mountain pony, what an accolade!!

Many other successes have been gained by Fosterhouses ponies, out there flying the flag for our Stud, for the breed, and of course for Rowan Barbary! Our show team this year consists of our beautiful 3 year old colt, Fosterhouses Achilles and our 5 year old mare, Fosterhouses Poppy Moon...a few others will also have outings throughout the year, but these two will be where the main concentration lies. This year is also going to be very busy for us regarding breeding, as for the first time for a few years, we are expecting 10 foals! We haven`t  bred extensively in recent years due to the economic climate, but now as a number of our girls are getting older , we took the decision to have a few foals to retain before their Mums are retired...so yet more babies to be raised on your feeds! Let`s not forget the oldies here at Fosterhouses too, our senior stallion, (Standwell Satellite),  is now 30 years young and is fed exclusively on your feeds and supplements, as is his 33 years young `Wife` , Millay Sunblest, and his 27 years young Sister, (Standwell Supergirl), they each have a mixture of ReadyMash Extra and Solution Mash and all come galloping in every afternoon licking their lips for their teas! Many thanks for making such fabulous feed and for making our job so much easier in doing so ... Yours sincerely Fosterhouses Stud
