Glucosamine is an amino sugar which is highly palatable which supports the production of glycosaminoglycans in synovial fluids that give joint fluid grater elasticity, shock resistance and lubricating powers which also nourishes, conditions and replenishes the cartilage in the joints. This aids the manufacture of collagen, which is the protein portion of a fibrous substance that holds the joints together. Its suitable for long term administration due to it being a key component of the body’s natural joint repair and renew process. Its also a great supplement for older horses who are still within an intense workload as it aids maintenance and recovery of joint tissue.
